Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is great way for kids to get fit, have fun and make new friends outside of school. It teaches them to respect each other, how to defend themselves, and also helps with self-confidence and discipline.
Known as the Gentle Art, BJJ is unlike other martial arts because it doesn’t involve striking. Instead, kids will learn to grapple, do takedowns, and even how to get out of potentially dangerous situations – all in the safe and controlled environment of the mat area.
FaMA’s Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Program is open to kids ages 4 to 12, and is taught by 3rd degree black belt, Zoro Moriera, who has had many years of experience teaching children both in Singapore and Brazil.
Held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5pm, and Saturday at 10am, the BJJ Kids classes at FaMA run concurrently with the adults FaMA Fitness classes, so parents can get fit alongside their kids.
