Known as the gentle art, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a formidable martial arts form which has gained popularity in recent years due to the use of BJJ by competitors in worldwide Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competitions. In the inaugural Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Royce Gracie, a BJJ practitioner defeated stronger and bigger opponents, amazing the crowds with his revolutionary techniques. Today, in popular MMA competitions like UFC and One Fighting Championships, competitors adopt a mix of martial arts form, but always with the inclusion of BJJ.
At FaMA, our instructors have designed a new Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program that allows you to grasp the techniques quickly and smoothly. This means you can steadily progress from basic to intermediate and advanced classes. And rather than teaching you the techniques separately from the counter-moves, we will be teaching you sequences of moves and defence together. Our BJJ programs will improve your flexibility, co-ordination and functional strength. Our hope is that you will get to enjoy and love BJJ for what it is—a powerful yet gentle martial art form.
